CONGRATULATIONS TO MAX who lost his novice sculls last weekend…
Max Murdoch won Novice Single Sculls at Kingston Regatta beating crews from Medway, Thames, Marlow and Putney Town. A great result for Curlew who are not renowned for the sculling ability…well done Max.
The ladies also raced, with Anita (Curlew Chairwomen) racing in her scull for the very first time – she raced a very quick sculler from Mossbourne with the verdict being 5 lengths. The women’s novice quad failed to over come steering issues and where subsequently disqualified from their race…and the Women’s novice VIII showed some encouraging signs once they got out of the blocks.
