Last night saw Curlew’s first wine & cheese night, under the guidance of our own Nick King. This was an opportunity for squads to mingle and for our new learn to row squads it was their first time to meet and greet all our squads.
Nick King works for Wine & Spirit Education Trust, and is well respected within the wine/spirit industry. We are very lucky to leverage his expertise for our social, we had a number of wines/beers to try.
One beer from a local brewery – “brew by numbers”, a white Riesling, a red Bordeaux and a Tawny Port. We also had a selection of cheese to try with the drinks…we had over 35 people attend, which was a great number and all profits from this evening goes towards our new boat fund. A few thank you, thank you to Nick King for hosting, to Callum our social secretary for organising and to all those who helped set up and clean up after.
Our next major social is the Christmas Party, which is being host by the De Vere Hotel in Greenwich. For more information on this, join our Facebook event or contact our social secretary Callum.Stayton@gmail.com
