Ian Stevenson 1966-2019, a rower, a friend? Actually more like family. Curlew RC, like most rowing clubs, is a family. This week we said a sad farewell to Ian aka Biffa. Biffa rowed at Curlew RC and a number of other rowing clubs, settling finally at Cygnet Rowing Club. We all have fond and shared memories of a familiar friend, team mate, inspiration, and most of all family – the glue that binds us together. He was competitive, fun loving, social, enjoyed a good beer, and till the end, of fighting spirit. He will be sorely missed. – Colin Pullan (20/09/2019)
