From an unpredictable posting schedule to ruthless efficiency! Here is the results post from British Masters.
It’s been a good long while since we graced this event with our presence but this year Curlew has returned with a splash. Our resident men of good standing (+ Charlotte) decided to enter two fours, two pairs and an eight and of course, a bbq. Because rowing dads come correct and know if you stay ready you don’t need to get ready!
In addition to the bbq, they enjoyed a great set of competitive racing across Saturday and Sunday with crews acquitting themselves well in all their races.
But best of all we had a win! From Giorgio and our very own Chairman John won their pairs race and in a very exciting bout with them stealing the race in the last 250m and then winning by a respectable margin which you can see on the video. We love a win and even more than a win a medal curtsy!
Here’s what they had to say on their win: ‘Bloody hell, we still can't believe we managed to win a race, especially as we've not rowed together in a pair since covid’. Readers, they’ve not stopped smiling!
