The brightest and brainiest of Curlew Rowing Club took to the clubhouse to determine who would be crowned the Curlew Quiz Champion. Over 45 members entered and only one team was triumphant, Team “Fred” won, followed closed by the sh*theads, in third place 6 co*ks and a Cox. It was a great evening, a special thanks to Captain Tom who cooked a great chilli, for Callum who organised the event, his first event as the new Social Secretary, finally to the quiz master himself Jamie Sunderland.
The club auctioned off the naming rights to second predator pair, thank you Ketan for your kind donation to the club. Overall the club raised close to £500.00, which is a great result and we are well on our way to our fundraising target for 2017/2018. With the recent taster day, learn to row and now the quiz we continue to deliver on our aims, and with the purchase of our new Hudson coxless IV, proves the club is moving forwards both on and off the water.
Next social is a Wine and Cheese social in November, and the Curlew Christmas Party is on the 16th December.
