Time to meet our (prequalified 💅) crew for the Wyfold Challenge Cup. They’ll be hitting the water on Tuesday for everyone’s favourite, SIDE BY SIDE RACING. So let’s meet the men of Curlew A, starting with our stroke seat Nick Walton.
What to say about Nick? A nice guy and a athlete, he came through in a big way last year in the seat racing, helped qualify our ‘22 Wyfolds crew and then *ahem* went on a holiday over Henley. But in 2023 he’s taking it all the way.
Here’s what Captain Ben has to say about one of his favourite serious athletes:
‘After prioritising a highly questionable holiday in 2022, 2023 sees Nick in his preferred stroke seat for our pre-qualified Wyfolds crew. It’s his first Henley, so a congratulations are in order, from this year’s men’s captain to next year’s*.
Given Nick is 110% ‘in the market’ for a tensed bicep shot with Stewards in the background, there is even more pressure on us to have a tidy row down the course.
Hopefully this pressure also means the tache won’t be making a return. Looking forward to backing up his nice rhythm.
