Not just Gemini season, Henley season has begun!

This year we are entering a boat into the Aspirational Coxless IVs of the Lester Trophy, Henley Women’s Regatta.

Counting down to Friday we’re going to introduce you to each member of the crew, from stroke to bow.

First up we have Kiernan Loue at stroke. This will be Kiernan’s third Henley with Curlew and we’re not at all surprised to see her in our top crew again. As her baby photo attests she invested early in free speed and never looked back.

This year the girls are writing each other profiles. So it’s over to Wizzy for her take on our favourite American:

‘Tenacious, fierce, and determined. Our stroke, Kiernan, is unrivalled in her rapid starts and excellent rhythm keeping.

On the water, if there is a crew approaching she doesn't want overtaking, I like to describe Kiernan as Scrappy Doo – 'Let me att'im!' 🤜 as she naturally brings the rate up by 6 pips in a steady state warm up…

Besides purchasing her 1/2 rotisserie chickens every weekend, you can find Kiernan smashing through Legends of Zelda at rocket speed, sleeping at an impressively early times of the night, and searching the Internet for a new back/spine (we hope we haven't broken you too much, gal! 😘)

Since joining Curlew, Kiernan has always over-achieved and delivered and will no doubt keep us at a rate 50 down the Henley course on Friday 😬💙🔥’

Well said Wizzy. Kiernan we are glad you are on our side! And to reflect on how far you’ve come, there’s even a picture of you as a baby rower in four seat. We’d say you’ve come a long way but to be frank it looks like you were smashing from the get go. Rock, Flag and Eagle!
